NASCAR
diecast
cars are fun to collect and the selection is awesome.
There is a diecast car for every driver in each paint.
It seems like there are as many cars as there are
postage stamps. Collecting them all is probably
impossible without a large warehouse.
Action
and Team Caliber cars are prized among collectors
usually in 1/24 scale. The cars are extremely detailed
and beautiful to see. The paint schemes are exact and
some are so detailed that they seem like you could drive
them away. Many have operational parts like opening
hoods and trunks and even drive trains that work. These
aren’t Hot Wheels we’re talking about, every one is
truly a masterpiece.

Some
fantasy paint schemes never make it to the race track
like Elliott Sadler’s #38 30th birthday car
or Jeff Gordon’s #24 celebration of his 400th start in
NASCAR's top series. Even Star Wars has a car with the
Episode III 1/24 Monte Carlo. Minnie Mouse has an
anniversary 1/24 Daytona 500 Team Caliber car and the
list goes on.

Winners
Circle and Born on cars are popular too. There are
dozens within each category. Nextel, formally the
Winston Cup has some very nice selections.
When
a driver wins a race everybody flocks to the souvenir
stands to buy the winners diecast car in the paint that
the driver was running. The cars don’t last long
because the stock is usually limited. Collectors know
that winning paint schemes become more valuable and just
about any die cast car with Dale Earnhardt’s name on
it is a winner.
